DMX (Digital Multiplexing) is a communication protocol that allows the transfer of information, namely data. It was developed by the UITT (United States Institute for Theater Technology) in 1986. It imposed itself in the 1990s as the standard for communication between management consoles and stage equipment. There are several types of DMX, namely 3 or 5 PIN.
